after Launched in China Several months ago, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ phone officially made its global debut today, but the surprise is that the global version does not completely match its Chinese counterpart, as Xiaomi made several changes to the specifications, most notably in the camera and battery.
The most important difference appears in the photography department, as the Chinese version was equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera, while the global version comes with a powerful 200-megapixel primary camera with an HPE sensor, with support for 2x and 4x internal zoom, and five focal lengths ranging between 23 mm and 92 mm. In contrast, the global version retains the 8-megapixel wide camera, but abandons the 50-megapixel telephoto lens found in the Chinese version.

The second notable difference appears in the battery, as the global Redmi Note 15 Pro+ comes with a 6500 mAh battery with silicon-carbon technology, with support for faster charging of 100 watts, in addition to wired reverse charging of 22.5 watts. As for the Chinese version, it was equipped with a larger 7,000 mAh battery with 90W charging. Despite the smaller battery, the global version is thicker than its Chinese counterpart.
In terms of screen, the two phones are identical in size of 6.83 inches, refresh rate of 120 Hz, and brightness of up to 3200 nits, with a slight difference in resolution, as it is 2772 x 1280 pixels in the global version compared to 2772 x 1220 pixels in the Chinese version. The global version also gets protection from Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 instead of Dragon Crystal Glass.
In its global version, the phone maintains the same Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, along with a 32-megapixel front camera, support for HyperOS, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC. The phone includes a built-in fingerprint sensor under the screen, and dual stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio.
Redmi Note 15 Pro+ also supports advanced connectivity technologies including eSIM, and high water and dust resistance standards of up to IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K. The phone adds the Xiaomi Offline Communication feature, which allows direct voice communication between devices over distances of up to kilometers without network coverage, in addition to the Xiaomi Surge T1S Tuner chip to improve signal quality across different networks.
The phone is available globally in three colors: black, mocha brown, and ice blue, with memory options that include 8/128 GB, 12/256 GB, and 12/512 GB. Prices start at €499 / £429, while reaching €549 / £479 for the higher version. Pre-orders for the phone are scheduled to begin on January 5 in some European countries.
