The first science and technology park was launched in University of Baghdad In Iraq, benefiting from the experiences of Sharif University of Technology, in the presence of the presidents of the two universities.

This is considered… Project The result of continuous cooperation for more than a year and a half between the two universities, it was designed based on an advanced plan and proposal by Sharif University of Technology.

The master plan developed by Sharif University of Technology is a five-year program, in which the university is committed to transferring its knowledge and experience spanning more than two decades in building the various components of this creative ecosystem to the University of Baghdad.

The plan consists of three phases (one year, two years, and two years respectively), with specific steps, outputs and results taken into account for each phase.

The first phase of the launch, which has been completed so far, includes four steps as follows:

– “Allocate the required space“،

– “Identify faculty members in various specialized fields University of Baghdad To support the commercialization of their research achievements“،

– “Conduct a strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats analysis،

And finally

“EPrepared draft of some legal provisions and regulations to promote technology, innovation and launch Emerging projects In the scientific, research and technological ecosystem in Iraq”.
